Some time ago you signed our petition asking for repair regulations for smartphones.
Thanks to your support, we were able to push for stronger EU ecodesign rules! As of June 2025 new smartphone models will have to feature a repair index and as well as software support for 5 years and availability of spare parts for 7 years. You can read more about it in our blog post.
We also brought legislators and repair activists together during a webinar to discuss the concrete impact of these new rules on smartphone and tablet repair. You can rewatch the recording here!
