ΤΟΝ ΤΥΛΙΞΑΝ ΤΟΝ ΓΑΥΡΟ ΑΛΕΥΡΩΜΕΝΟ!!!
Dear Colleague
Ever felt that communication with your partner, friend, colleague of the opposite gender can often be difficult and less than productive?
Do you ever feel constrained by what is expected from you just because you were born a man or a woman?
Gender communication starts in the messages we receive from our culture, from jokes, advertisements, literature, music and film that surround us from birth, according to which we build our understanding of the world, our role in it, and our way of relating to others. Not surprising then that, generally speaking, there are noticeable differences between masculine and feminine communication styles. But rather than focus on the difficulties this might present, the key is to appreciate the benefits of each style and to harness and use the strong points from each. The result: a more blended, androgynous and effective way of communicating with others, regardless of gender.
If you’d like to hear more, why not join us, χχχ, for our webinar, ‘Androgynous Communication ~ challenging gender assumptions, reaping the benefits of masculine and feminine communication styles’ on Wednesday 25th September, with χχχ Ambassador and editor of our brand new tool on ‘Gender and Communication’.
What? The aim of the webinar is to explore the differences and benefits of masculine and feminine communication, and how to switch between them in order to build our own, more effective communication style.
When? Wednesday 25th September, 9.30am and 3pm BST. The alternative time slot invitation will be sent out separately to this one – please choose the one most suitable for your time zone.
During the webinar, we will be covering:
• Gender roles and assumptions
• The differing linguistic styles and their benefits
• ‘Code-switching’ between masculine and feminine communication
• Action steps for better communication, particularly in the areas of nonverbal communication, listening, conflict and emailing
• Questions & Answers
