Στο Watergate υπήρχαν ηχητικά, δεν είμαι εξπερ βέβαια.

Η δική μου πίστη λέει ότι ο Τραμπ έχει "προδωθεί" από τόσους πολλούς συνεργάτες του που δεν γίνεται να έχουν όλοι άδικο, να χρηματίζονται όλοι, ή να είναι όλοι νάρκισσοι. Είναι ο κοινός παρονομαστής σε όλα αυτά και είναι πολύ πιο πιθανό με το ξυράφι του Οκκάμ να είναι ο ίδιος νάρκισσος και ανυπόφορος ως χαρακτήρας.

Το περίεργο είναι ότι δεν έχετε κάποια υποχρέωση να υπερασπιστείτε το χαρακτήρα του, μπορείτε να οπισθοχωρήσετε στο ότι πιστεύετε στην γενικότερη ατζέντα που προωθεί, ακόμα και αν ο ίδιος δεν πιστεύει λέξη απ' αυτή και το κάνει για την ικανοποίηση του εγώ του. Δεν το κάνετε όμως.

Ο Τραμπ έκανε πολλές λάθος επιλογές συνεργατών, ιδίως στο πρώτο μισό της θητείας του. Ορισμένες μάλιστα από αυτές, όπως του εγκληματία καραγκιόζη Μπόλτον ή του αποτυχημένου αρχηγού ΓΕΕΘΑ Μαϊλι, βρώμαγαν τόσο πολύ Deep State που είναι να απορεί κανείς πραγματικά πως δεν κατάλαβε ότι θα τον πουλούσαν. Στο δεύτερο μισό τα πήγε σαφώς καλύτερα, αλλά η ζημιά είχε ήδη γίνει και στο τέλος έσκασε και ο COVID. Ελπίζουμε πως έχει μάθει από τα λάθη του και στην επόμενη θητεία του θα κάνει καλύτερες επιλογές.

Μα η ατζέντα είναι που μας ενδιαφέρει, το πρόσωπο είναι αδιάφορο. Απλώς ο Τραμπ προς το παρόν είναι αυτός που φαίνεται να είναι σε θέση να συσπειρώσει περισσότερο κόσμο προς την υλοποίησή της. Αν αύριο μεθαύριο αυτό μπορεί να το κάνει καλύτερα ο Ντε Σάντις ή ο Άμποτ ή η Χεϊλι ή η Νόεμ, θα στηρίξουμε αυτόν ή αυτή.
