Right in front of him were residential buildings and a school. The pilot didn't have a chance to think. The hero was buried in the village of Vozdvizhenka, for this act he was posthumously awarded the Order of Lenin. The aircraft colonel's name was Vladimir Surovikin.

5.5 Months later, on October 11, 1966, the colonel's widow gave birth to a son, Sergei, later called by some General Armageddon. In October 2022, he is appointed by Vladimir Putin as the commander of the Russian troop grouping in the special military operation.
