What would happen if Turkey attacked Greece?

Actually, It would be a pretty ideal situation for many.
If Turkey really did attack Greece, NATO would perform a pretty brutal beat down. The military and financial hit would mean that Turkey would have to lay low for quite some time, a scenario which the EU would be pretty happy with.
Second, if NATO were to take control of the Aegean sea, they would have some major leverage on Russia. The Aegean sea is the only sea which Russian rivers connect to that stays open all year long. All other surrounding seas are frozen over for a big part of the year. Also, the Aegean sea would give NATO armies pretty easy access to Russia. You know, just in case.
Aside from the leverage, the Aegean sea is also the only reason that relations between Russia and Turkey have remained relatively friendly. Take that away and tension would rise rapidly. Another major upside for NATO, the EU and the USA.
So while the situation would be bad for Russia, Turkey and Greece, the rest of the world would benefit greatly from the geopolitical shifts. And you had best believe that this scenario has already been discussed at length by both NATO and the EU.
