The First broadcast of the King Biscuit Time radio show was in 1941. Sonny Boy Williamson II and Robert Lockwood Jr. played live in the studio as the “King Biscuit Entertainers” on that first show.

With them in this picture is the KFFA owner, Sam Anderson.
The photo is a promotional shot for King Biscuit Time. It was taken in Helena, Arkansas in the early 1940’s, courtesy of Terry Buckalew of KFFA.

Jamesetta Hawkins, known professionally as Etta James, was an American singer who performed in various genres, including gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, rock and roll, and soul. Starting her career in 1954, she gained fame with hits such as "The Wallflower", "At Last", "Tell Mama", "Something's Got a Hold on Me", and "I'd Rather Go Blind".
