Μαλλον εννοεί αυτό:akritas έγραψε: ↑28 Απρ 2018, 23:35Η πηγή σου λέει ότι μιλούσε...καθαρή Παρισινή γλώσσα, και όχι ότι οι υπόλοιποι δεν μιλούσαν....Γαλλικά!!!paul25 έγραψε: ↑28 Απρ 2018, 23:26and that only three million of the 25 million inhabitants of France spoke a pure Parisian French as their native tongue.[/b] The lack of ability of the population to understand the language in which were the political debates and the administrative documents was then seen as antidemocratic.
The language spoken by the kings of France, mainly a Touraine version of it, became the official language of the kingdom in 1539 with the Ordinance of Villers-Côterets passed by François 1er.
This ordinance defined French language as the official administrative one. It didn't make illegal the use of dialects or regional languages like Basque, Briton, Picard, Alsacian, Occitan, Provençal or Corsican to name just a few of them. These dialects and regional languages are still being spoken right now and there is a revival movement in those regions to maintain the linguistic heritage aside with the national French language.
